Lunch and Learn: IN Citizens' Handbook PowerPoint and Discussion

LWVSWIN Co-Presidents Karen Reising and Genny Tenbarge will present an LWVIN PowerPoint that covers topics such as Indiana's low ranking on the Civic Health Index; how the decline of traditional media and the rise of social media and cell phones are reducing our civic understanding; the attempt by the Indiana legislature to set up closed primaries; and Ten Ways to Participate in Politics and Make an Impact. Following the PowerPoint we will have a discussion session.
We will be meeting in the newly refurbished Browning Rooms at the Evansville Central Library. Doors open at 10:30 am; our meal is at 11 am; and the program begins at 11:30 am and ends by 12:30 pm.
A catered meal from Just Rennie's costs $15. A vegetarian wrap option is available. Click on the Register Now button at the bottom of the screen to register and pay. (If you are a member and sign up as such you will reduce fees). The deadline for a meal is Thursday, October 30 at noon.
If you don't want to register online, email us at treasurer@lwvswin.org by October 30 at noon. You can pay at the event by check or cash.
If you just want to attend without a meal, email us at treasurer@lwvswin.org by Sunday, Nov 2 so we will be sure to have a seat for you.
