Lunch and Learn: War in Ukraine: The End of US Global Leadership?
About this event
Our speaker will be Kate Leahy Hein, who was a Russian Language and Literature and East Central European Studies major at University of Colorado at Boulder, has her Master’s from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She was an adjunct instructor at USI for 15 years, where she taught Political Science and Global Studies, and she was the recipient of our annual Making Democracy Work Award in 2019. She shared her extensive knowledge of Russia, NATO, and the war in Ukraine at our annual meeting in June 2022.
This event will take place on Thursday, May 8, in the Welborn Center on the 15th floor of the Fifth Third Bank downtown at 20 NW 3rd Street. If you use the parking garage (which you can access from 2nd Street), drive up to the second floor to park. Inside the doors at the end will be the elevators. Doors open at 11:15, lunch is at 11:30 am, and the program lasts from noon to 1 pm.
A catered meal is available for $15. Go HERE and click on the Register Now button to register and pay. (If you are a League member, consider clicking on the log in button below the event title to reduce the registration fees). The deadline for a meal is midnight, Sunday, May 4.
