No Kings Rally Set for Saturday

Six groups are putting together the local event: Indivisible Evansville, League of Women Voters of Southwestern Indiana, Veterans for Peace, River City Pride, Student Progressive Union, and the Sierra Club. It’s one of three-thousand protests planned across the U.S.
UE history professor James McLeod spoke during a preview event at the Four Freedoms Monument: "All of the rights and freedoms that we take for granted today — symbolized by the monument behind us — exist because earlier generations were willing to protest peacefully."
